About App Store Review Requests

Review Requests

In the App Store version, a screen asking users to review the app on the App Store (Review Request screen) is configured to appear periodically (at a very low frequency).

This screen appears only when all of the following conditions are met:

  • You are using the App Store version (this feature is not implemented in the GitHub version).
  • The drag lock activation count is 100 or more.
    • This count increases when any button enters a locked state, rather than counting individual lock activations for each mouse button (it does not increase if you lock another button while a button is already locked).
  • At least 1 second has elapsed since the last unlock.
  • At least 3 days have passed since the app was updated (since it was launched for the first time after the update).
    • This also includes the initial installation (3 days have passed since the first launch).
  • The review request screen has never been displayed for the current version.
  • At least 90 days have passed since the last review request screen was displayed.
  • Review requests have not been disabled in the app settings.

The drag lock activation count increases by a maximum of 34 times per day, so at the earliest, you must continue to activate the lock at least 34 times a day for 3 days. Therefore, this screen will not appear immediately after you start using the app (to ensure you can provide a more accurate review).

If the above conditions are met, the review request screen will appear 1 second after drag lock is released and when the app is not in a locked state.
